Marilyn Monroe was an icon for young women and the world. She was intelligent, beautiful and struggled with her mental health so much. She lived a troubled life but always tried to see the positivity in life. In summary, she was every woman in many ways.

“It’s better to be unhappy alone than unhappy with someone.”

No relationship is worth being unhappy for, and if you’re alone you can find happiness yourself. You can find happiness in your friends or your work, but an unhappy relationship will not bring it.

“I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”

Everyone has bad days but don’t let people define you by them. If someone doesn’t like your mood swings or you dealing with a stressful environment, then they clearly don’t deserve to see you flourish at your best.

“Success makes so many people hate you. I wish it wasn’t that way. It would be wonderful to enjoy success without seeing envy in the eyes of those around you.”

Being successful is great but it can make people around you jealous. It can be painful but if you’ve worked hard for your success, don’t let your friends bring you down.

Being gay, asexual or straight is never a problem as long as you love the other person. Your sexuality doesn’t define you, all that matters is that you love someone and are loved.

It’s good to be cautious, but don’t let it dictate your life. We all get old and don’t let something hold you back because you’re afraid or embarrassed – it’ll be forgotten in no time.

Life is hard but sometimes we have to fail in order to get better. Failure isn’t the end of the world but just a way of making us better and stronger for next time.

A relationship is hard work and it doesn’t need to be a fairytale. As long as the relationship is true and honest, then it’s a good relationship.
