Without Dolly Parton, we may have never got Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Parton owned a company with her former manager, Sandy Gallin, and produced the series run. Not only can she sing a tune, she can produce a legendary show about a powerful woman.

Parton mails free books to children each month until they’re 5 years old through her Imagination Library program. She’s a pure saint through and through.

COVID HERO

She generously donated $1 million to fund a COVID-19 research program in the US that is working on a vaccine. Parton is working her way through curing the world.

WORKING GIRL

Parton appeared in the film 9 to 5 and even wrote the hit song of the same name. The film fought hard to show women should be valued in the workplace during a tough time when they struggled. Everyone needs a bit of Parton’s character, Doralee, in their life.

POLITE AND HUMBLE

When she wanted to leave Porter Wagoner’s show, she wrote “I Will Always Love You,” and performed the track for him. He was so impressed that he let her go. She wrote “Jolene” on the same day as well!
