Stop asking women when they’re going to have children

It’s officially time to stop asking women when they are going to have a baby and start a family. Women are no longer just for breeding and they have the choice whether they want to procreate. 2021 will be the year that people stop asking this silly question.

NOT ALL WOMEN CAN

For one, not all women can have children. To ask women when they are going to have children is offensive and rude. Some women have endometriosis and fertility issues which mean that pregnancy isn’t always possible. Many women end up having procedures to reduce their pain whilst ending their chances at carrying a baby. Pregnancy can also be painful or put people at risk, so let’s just stop with asking people about children.

WOMEN AREN’T JUST VALUED FOR CHILDBEARING

Times have changed since the past and women have more value. They are no longer seen as just a prize and for breeding, women have careers and lives of their own. Many women have children, but it shouldn’t be seen as the most important thing for everyone.

NOT ALL WOMEN WANT CHILDREN

Because women have more value than just being a breeding ground, they can make their own decisions too. Some women (and some men) don’t want any children because they just don’t want to. There is no issue in this and people should get over the fact. The world is overpopulated as it is, so someone deciding not to reproduce is a great thing for the environment.

WOMEN CAN HAVE KIDS WHENEVER THEY WANT

Technology has meant that women can have kids whenever they want. If they are focusing on their career, they can freeze their eggs, adopt or have a surrogate carry their child when they are ready. It’s no longer a simple act of reproduction, as families come in different shapes and sizes.

IT’S A WOMAN’S CHOICE

Either way, it’s the woman’s choice. No one can force a woman to have a child if she doesn’t want to. There should also be no shame in a woman who wants kids. At the end of the day, it’s up to the individual and not some nosy person. So stop asking women when they’re going to have children. If they want kids, then they’ll tell you. If they don’t, then just back off.
