Easy styles to hide your greasy hair

With the unpredictability of the world, you never know when is the right time to wash and groom your hair. Whether you want to spend extra time in bed, or simply can’t be bothered to shampoo your hair, there are many options for hiding your oily locks.

Here are 7 clever ways to hide your oily roots.

THE POWER OF THE CLIP

One of the easiest ways to disguise your greasy and gross hair is to use a bunch of cute clips. You can add a couple of clips to give the intended slick look or opt for a side parting with them. It’ll give your hair a fresher look making people think you put in the effort.

HALF UP BUN LOOK

Want to look cool and arty? Then you can harness the power of the half up bun in which you leave half of your hair down and lift the rest up into a bun. Secure it with a few pins and add a bit of dry shampoo to poof it up making you ready to face the day.

EASY MESSY PLAITS

My recommended go-to would be to just add plaits to your hair to hide the greasiness. I usually go between the messy looking fishtail plaits to boxer braids, but each of them make my hair look presentable whilst hiding the truth.

HEADBAND TO THE RESCUE

If you aren’t feeling creative or can’t be bothered to sort out your greasy hair – then use a headband. Channel your inner Blair and rock that headband. Make sure you have a chic looking headband that matches your look though!

MESSY PONYTAIL CHIC

We know that ponytails can be boring and the blandest of hairstyles – but a messy one can be a gamechanger. Ensure that there are loose bits around your face and ruffle your ponytail to give a sultry style to hide your unwashed hair.

CLAW THAT HAIR

A good investment is a couple of claw clips and your greasy hair struggles will be over. It’s a quick and easy way to whip your hair into shape. You can style it in a bun, half up or just add texture to your hair.

HIDE IT WITH A HAT
If you are lazy or don’t have the time to do any of this, then just wear a hat. Get a cool and stylish hat to hide away your darkest shame of not washing your hair. Luckily, it’s getting colder so hats are more accepted and it’ll keep you warm.
