Being stuck at home doesn’t have to be a prison sentence – there are many things you can do. Instead of just binging all the TV shows on Netflix or waiting around for lockdown to end, why not do something more fulfilling and meaningful instead.
Here are five fun things to do whilst you are stuck at home.
ORGANISE YOUR SPACE
Take this time to spring clean your house – including your wardrobe. Look through your old clothes and goodies around your house, and figure out what you want to keep. The best thing about this is that you can donate the unwanted items to charity, and treat yourself to new items as well!
TRY NEW RECIPES
Cooking can take a lot of time, so now is the best time to try out new things. Whether you are a novice or an expert, you can play around with recipes at home. Cook yourself fresh meals and treat yourself to fun meals through lockdown. Slimming World, Good Food and Delicious have some amazing recipes from beginner to expert meals.
GREEN THUMB
Become the next Alan Titchmarsh and hone in your gardening skills. Start your own allotment inside or outside to breathe new life into your space. Grow your own vegetables or just grow your own flowers through lockdown. Watch your creations grow and feel fulfilled in lockdown.
LEARN SOMETHING NEW
Spend this time improving your skills. It could be a new language through Duolingo or learn a new skill through sites such as Reed or FutureLearn. Impress all of your friends and family by developing a skill to show them after lockdown.
WORK ON YOU
Lockdown could be the best time to work on yourself mentally and physically. Pamper yourself with spa days and yoga sessions. Exercise to make yourself feel healthier or at least take time to go through your thoughts. It’s okay to be sad or angry at the situation but make sure you don’t hold it in. Being selfish isn’t a bad thing and now is probably the only time you’ll get away with it.
